The Story

The Heckel MACCROSSROAD 3.0 S3 HIGH META provides enhanced metatarsal protection thanks to patented D3O technology, fully integrated into the tongue. D3O offers an ergonomic solution guaranteeing safe metatarsal protection against impacts, while still ensuring high levels of flexibility an comfort. Made from non-Newtonian fluid, D3O molecules bind together upon impact, transforming into a solid to absorb and dissipate energy. The protective component moulds to the shape of the foot and is extremely thin and lightweight, without restricting freedom of movement. The metatarsal protection in the Heckel MACCROSSROAD 3.0 S3 HIGH META is resistant to 100 joules of impact, equivalent to a weight of 20 kg falling from a height of 50cm.
